OUR STORY
Born out of our heritage, Pechi crafts a new era of classic and timeless style, worn by the most discerning. Creating luxurious shirts, kurta shalwar and accessories for you, we pride ourselves on our exquisite quality and craftsmanship.
The name ‘Pechi’ originates from the word ‘penchi’ which means decision makers. Our heritage of textiles was born in the former hub of exotic dyeing and printing, the red sand hills of Rajasthan, the Abode of the Rajas and the former hub of textiles which was catered to the world over.
Hand spinning and looming was a labor of love and the truest testament of crafting . The process, although now replaced by machines, is still dedicated to producing the exquisite standard of fabric and encapsulates the era of bygone excellence in handcrafts.
An ode to printing and alluring dyes. Vibrancy and richness of culture beautifully translated in hand printed luxe material with an exceptional skill set, was captured in fabric that added character to the designs.
The art of dyeing and the craft learnt in the red hills of Rajasthan that crossed borders with our ancestors is our shared legacy. Farid Pechi, dyeing master, migrated to Karachi and built an enterprise of exporting printed flannel. The nostalgia of world renowned fabric of exquisite quality catered to foreign lands from the heart of Pakistan is the foundation of Pechi.
With great precision and determination, the craft was refined and gifted down generations. The family’s legacy has always inclined towards creating employment opportunities in the country, work with local talent and share the wealth of education and wisdom to hone the skilled communities in remote areas.
Over the years, we have dedicatedly adhered to our production process while striving to deliver improved quality. Our garments have always been manufactured with single needle tailoring which lends our finished products strength and durability.
With skill, perfection for Pechi was also made lineal. Yaqub Pechi had a passion for textile in his blood. The perfection in our stitching was learnt by extensively studying by unstitching second hand imported shirts due to the unavailability of high quality shirts produced locally. Our finesse in high quality cotton shirts is an art that is credited to his years of entrepreneurial experience.
With several years of wisdom and experience with roots firmly grounded in textile and shirt making, Pechi strives to bring you the finer things in life… be it a well-fitted collar or a neatly finished hem. Quality stitching is the core belief at Pechi and every shirt we create, is compliant with our own standards. Our craft has proudly evolved over the years to produce modern designs for modern times.
Our final product showcased in our windows are a testimony of the finesse of our nurtured craft. Each piece goes through dedicated focus to create a product that paves its own way from our racks to your wardrobe.

M. YAQUB PECHI
With love for the people of his country, Yaqub's journey has led him to train thousands of people in rural and urban Sindh, empowering them with skill and knowledge. With his leadership experience in his entrepreneurial venture Cotton and Cotton, he has now embarked on keeping the family legacy of textiles alive by launching his own brand with his kids, Pechi.
MOHSIN PECHI
Perfectionist at heart, Mohsin has always been very particular about fineness in quality. Shadowing the art of shirt making with his father, he grew up watching an artist at work. A graduate of University of Leicester, England, his curiosity and attention to detail have allowed him great insight crucial to his key role in the conception of Pechi.
MISHAL PECHI
Breathing life in the brand with her design, Mishal plays a pivotal role in Pechi’s aesthetics. Having graduated from IVS in 2018, she leads the brand's design with grace and passion. With her attention to detail and creative eye inherited from her father, she is now exploring new opportunities to be undertaken in this industry.
